Expected practice

A reviewer should identify conflicts and their relevant expertise, test consequential claims where feasible, and distinguish observed defects from suggestions. Ask whether sources are independent, controls fit the question, and reporting explains unsupported conditions.

Responsibility and boundaries

Private evidence and unpublished work should not be uploaded to external AI systems or shared without authorization. Reviewers should disclose material AI assistance and retain responsibility for their comments. Comments should be specific enough to evaluate without personal attacks.

Application and current status

Before formal Journal review begins, the project must publish the actual process, decision authority, confidentiality expectations, and correction route. These expectations do not constitute an active review service or a promise of publication.
