Expected practice

Record the experimental question, environment, controls, repetitions, exclusions, and failures. Preserve raw observations and a derivation path for reported results. State where data access, redaction, licensing, or platform changes prevent full replication.

Responsibility and boundaries

Disclose funding, affiliations, commercial interests, and relationships that could affect interpretation. Correct unsupported claims promptly with a visible explanation. Suspected integrity concerns should be assessed against records rather than handled as an unverified public accusation.

Application and current status

Participant research requires a suitable ethics and consent process. Collection authority does not automatically authorize public disclosure. Follow the data and dual-use policies before publishing sensitive artifacts, real-person media, or security findings.
